Shareholder Analyst
REMUNERATION: Base Salary $76,000
plus Superannuation Guarantee
THE OPPORTUNITY:
We are currently recruiting for a Full-time Shareholder Analyst.

First Advisers is a specialist consultancy offering an integrated suite of professional services in investor relations, corporate communications, shareholder analytics and governance. For the past decade our team has been providing advice and support to Australian and New Zealand companies on how to best structure market sensitive announcements and deliver complex information to a wide range of stakeholders in the financial market, media, and wider investment
Tasks and responsibilities will include:
- Provision of solicitation, shareholder engagement and beneficial ownership analysis to FIRST Advisers clients’
- Contributing to the development and pricing of new products and services or the packaging and cross selling of different services that would be of relevance to small to mid-cap companies needing FIRST Advisers support
- Proficiently analysing information and data to deliver invaluable insights spanning a wide array of sectors.
- Diligently compiling, analysing, and reporting financial data.
- providing investor analytics services to FIRST Advisers’ clients.
- support the Shareholder Engagement team through a range of activities including (but not limited to) assisting in various stages of proxy solicitation campaigns for all types of corporate transactions and shareholder intelligence gathering
- Providing advice on insights to the relevant parties.
- Maintenance of FIRST Advisers’ contact database as required, thereby contributing to our clients’ strategic approach to investor relations and corporate transactions.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models and analyses, and prepare
- comprehensive reports, briefing notes, memoranda, and other documents that
- identify and resolve gaps to support decision-making
- Offering counsel on optimal business and organisational methodologies.
- providing support and assistance to other First Advisers employees or contractors, as directed by them;
- General support to senior team and advisory professionals
- Assisting in the development of initiatives and the implementation of programs aimed at enhancing the accessibility of information and records
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Must have a master’s degree, majoring in Commerce specialised in Finance, at a reputable University.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Experience in maintaining and managing contact databases
- Ability to identify and implement solutions for client and organisational needs
- Demonstrated experience in advanced Microsoft Excel, financial reporting and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of proxy solicitation and shareholder intelligence gathering
- Numerate with attention to detail
- Demonstrated experience in statutory tasks – ASIC, 672 Disclosures Process is essential
- Experience with business intelligence concepts and tools and excellent investor relations and client skills
- Good communication and organisational skills
