THE OPPORTUNITY:

We are currently recruiting for a Permanent Full-time Financial Analyst to drive Finance processes and execution in FIRST Advisers.

WHAT FIRST ADVISERS DO:

First Advisers is a consultancy firm based in Sydney offering an integrated suite of professional services in investor relations, corporate communications analytics and governance.

Tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Analysing current and past financial data
• Assist development and implementation of investor targeting
• Prepares statements by collecting data; analyzing and investigating variances; summarizing data, information, and trends
• Analysing investor data to prepare reports for clients and doing short selling analysis, Reconciliation and managing investor relations
• Supports our clients with ad hoc queries
• Prepares special reports by studying variances; preparing budgets; developing forecasts
• Continually look at better ways of preparing the commentaries using tables, charts and other visual aids
• Ensuring compliance in accordance with documented procedures, liaising with banks, brokers and clients
• Suggesting budgets and improvements based on the above information
• Developing financial models and providing financial forecasts
• Moderate data entry by supporting the Accounts payable and Accounts Receivable functions, invoicing tasks

SKILLS:

• Must have a Bachelor, majoring in Accounting & Finance, at a reputable University
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role
• Demonstrated experience in advanced accounting/advanced Microsoft Excel, financial reporting and data analysis
• Strong understanding of Factset and JIRA Software is a must
• Highly numerate with attention to detail
• Demonstrated experience in statutory tasks – ASIC, 672 Disclosures Process is essential
• Experience with business intelligence concepts and tools and excellent investor relations and client skills
• Good communication and organisational skills
